As an established anti-splitter I am biased against these types of shenanigans.... and therefore I must voice my concern with the quality of naming of such things...

I want to know what the 'misses' were.

Though we are doomed as humans to be imperfect, perfection should remain our ceaseless goal
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Maister splits threads? From where? I hadn't noticed. Is he too cheap to buy full impact dental floss? Secret Santa should get him dental floss.

Almost makes me wonder if there is a moderator game, and Maister gets extra points for thread splitting.

As for names... I think that he should start using at least one old school word in all new thread titles, like haberdasher. Now that is a great world.
