    The song title/lyrics discussion thread

In the days of my youth I was told what it means to be a man.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Many times I've lied and many times I've listened, many times I've wondered how much there is to know.

I've paid my dues, time after time. I've done my sentence. But committed no crime.

He's in the jailhouse now. I told him once or twice to quit playin' cards and shootin' dice

A long long time ago, I can still remember how the music used to make me smile.

    Watching the tide roll away
    Annoyingly insensitive
