Sadly, this was a long long time ago.

I'm wondering if dandy's feeling attractive today is tied to her admission of a crush on the confessions thread....seems likely to me. Give it up dandy. Did you dress up in boots for your old man crush? I'm seeing a theme to your posts today.

I think the boots are a result of the hormones and the hormones are influencing the crush. It is not an OLD MAN crush, jeesh. Yes, he is about 20yrs older than me but that doesn't make him old, does it? And anyway he doesn't even work here and I haven't seen him in months but we did e-mail today.

OK, "old-man crush" may be misleading but it was fun to type. Women never do stop having crushes, do they? It's like Becky Schmidt from my 6th grade class and her crush on our teacher...what was I? Cut glass?

But seriously, admit it: you think he'd like the boots. (That's a safe bet, we ALL like boots.)

Seriously, what is it with women and boots? I find them somehow much more attractive while they are wearing boots, and I don't know why.

It's inexplicable, but it is undeniably true. Mmmmmm. Boots.

I think its cause they highlight the parts of the leg not covered by the boots.

I have to agree with the whole boot thing too. Makes me want to admit what a bad boy I've been. (where's PlannerGirl when you need her?)

For future reference you should not say "Boots" and "Unzipping" in the same sentences unless you are trying on purpose to make it difficult for men to focus on the other things you are saying.

I got to make out with a woman in a closet at a Super Bowl party once, and my opening line was, "Hey, nice boots!"

Maister! You have been a very naughty boy! Don't look me in the eyes when I'm talking down to you! Come here. Next time I say come here you'd better move more quickly if you don't want to feel the crack of my leather whip! Ohhh you like leather do you? I think my leather boots need cleaning right now!........[/dream sequence]
I'm sorry, were you saying something?

I think these are both valid reasons. And the boots don't necessarily need to be thigh high (although that helps).

I also think it makes a woman look more powerful and it seems when they're wearing boots they walk with much more purpose, which comes across as confidence.

Speaking of walking all over you, surely I got brain damage as a teenager when this came out:

Fleece-lined leggings and sweater boots = as close as it gets to wearing pajamas to work.

Also, I think there's something about wearing a short skirt and boots that looks vaguely schoolgirl-ish. So combine that with the "confident womanliness" and it's a potent mixture (naughty schoolgirl).
