I'm nearing the end of of my undergraduate life with a bachelor's in urban studies and planning. I currently have a list of schools I'm looking into any wondering if anyone has gone or knows anyone who goes to these schools.

Cleveland State University is currently my dream school with Rutgers University very close behind.

In no particular order
  • University at Albany, SUNY
  • University at Buffalo, SUNY
  • Michigan State University
  • Wayne State University
  • University of Michigan
  • University of Cincinnati
  • University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
  • University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
  • Cleveland State University
  • Rutgers University

Price-wise SUNY is the cheapest for me as I'm a State resident.

My interest is de-industrial redevelopment. Effectively my goal is to revive my home, Buffalo and other cities similar to it. I have an idea that I have been working for over a year now. The problem I have is the lack of knowledge and where to look to find the knowledge needed to sell the idea. This is partly where grad school comes in.

As many schools don't necessary list "de-industrial redevelopment" as a topic this means I would more or less specializing in all of the following:
  • Community Development
  • Economic Development
  • Historical Preservation
  • Housing (mostly centered on public housing)
  • Urban regeneration
  • Transportation (mass transit/public transit)
