Cyburbia New Year's Eve Party...c'mon in!

It's New Year's Eve! Because we closed down the 2012 Random Thoughts thread a bit early this evening in honor/memory of our beloved Bear Up North let's have a party in here until the 2013 Random Thoughts thread opens up.

Adios 2012! It was an undistinguished year and not liable to improve with age. Perhaps the new year will be more kind.

I'm still trying to figure out why the random thoughts thread was closed at such an odd time. But then again, I guess it's all in the name.

Guess I am a lot closer to 8K than I thought!

2012 started off with a bang....January 9th ushered in the arrival of little miss Arabella Rose and it's been a fast and furious year since. Mostly good, can't complain too much after 2011 which was an epic disaster.

Hey everyone! Hanging out at home tonight, hate driving on NYE. I had enough crazy college NYEs to last me for a long time.

2012 was a good year, the BF started law school and a new leaf. I had some great professional achievements and life is good. My sister is about to be engaged...so 2013 will be another fun one!

    A most interesting stocking stuffer

A promo packet for NJ SNAP - actual items

Toothpick - to remind you to "pick out" the good things in your unit and yourself
Piece of String - to help you tie up loose ends
Rubber Band - to remind you to be flexible
Eraser - to remind you everyone makes mistakes
Puzzle Piece - because sometimes there are people who can't make it without you
Paperclip - to hold it all together
Post-it Notes - because you can't live without them
Shiny Penny - to remind you, that each worker will shine in their own special way
Bag - to keep things together

I will scan the card and post on FB.

There is something unnerving about trying to lounge in the hot tub on NYE, and hearing the celebratory gunshots starting. We came inside early. Who are these cretins, firing guns on NYE?

It is and the Admins and Mods spent a fair amount of time deciding what should happen. I think the members will be satisfied with what the staff has come up with. A big shout out to Maister on this one.
