    91, died of cancer on Tuesday, 2013-05-21 in Memphis, TN.

    Awarded Medal of Honor for actions taken during late December, 1944 in Belgium during WWII, Battle of the Bulge.

    I met him once, quite a few of my friends have also had opportunities to meet him. He was humble and had a very long track record of looking out for the little people, funding public transportation (Secaucus Junction is formally named after him), affordable housing, and public health issues. Huge loss for NJ.

    Col. George 'Bud' Day, USAF-Retired, 88, died Saturday, 2013-07-27 at his home in Shalimar, FL after a long illness. USSenator John McCain's cellmate during POW captivity in Vietnam, he was awarded the Medal of Honor for actions taken eluding his captors during the ten days between being shot down and his capture, as well as during his captivity.
