I predict that the SEC will NOT win the National Championship this year. Yep.

I hope for Ohio State, but I think Oregon will be the victors... most likely would have been this year if they were given a shot...

It's like picking Tiger Woods against the field back in the day.

Big10 (11, 12, whatever) Commissioner Jim Delaney has now said they are considering renaming the divisions. Acknowledging that the names "Leaders" and "Legends" didn't gain the acceptance they thought it would, he said that 2014 would be a good time to implement new names when Rutgers & Maryland are brought into the conference.

We didn't see that coming... Whoever thought of those names should probably be fired from their PR firm. You know why Eastern and Western, or North and South have worked for some many conferences? Because they make sense.... unlike Leaders and Legends....

Probably becasue Rugter and Maryland are neither leaders nor legends. I still think the should call the conference the BIG MAC.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, bla, bla, bla. Nothing worse that a tone deaf person singing the same old song. FWIW, the conference names are pretty stupid and if took the addition of two new schools, so be it. Pobably the work of some genius at a marketing firm.

Looking at the Gators 2013 schedule means a tough road for the Swampdwellers.

Only 6 games in the Swamp
Toledo, Miami (FL), Georgia Southern & Florida State nonconference opponents
Arkansas & LSU from the SEC West
5 of the toughest gmaes away from the Swamp

Doesn't look like any "cupcakes" on the schedule. While Toledo & GaSouthern may not be FBS elite teams, they do very well in their respective schedules. Arkansas, I dunno but after last year their only direction is up.

Chip Kelly leaves Oregon for the Eagles. Ducks under NCAA investigation for recruiting violations. Was it ever thus.

On poor Gators....only 1/2 your games are at home...that is what the rest of the college football community call a normal year. If Toledo and Southern are concerns then it is going to be a long season for the Fighting Muschamps. Any SEC team should beat Toledo by 30.

I'm not sayin' the Gators won't beat them and should beat them by more than 30. Those are the 2 weakest teams on the schedule, but they are no Ohio University for the Blind football team.

    Buffalo Bulls
    San Diego State Aztecs
    California Golden Bears
    Florida A&M Rattlers
    Wisconsin Badgers
    Northwestern Wildcats
    Iowa Hawkeyes
    Penn State Nittany Lions
    Purdue Boilermakers
    Illinois Fighting Illini
    Indiana Hoosiers
    at Michigan Wolverines
    Big Ten Championship Game
    BCS Championship Game

I would argue the Michigan game being away will be tough and the BCS championship game will be tough.

Otherwise it is pretty cupcake, no arguments there. 2014 is going to be a bear though....

Why is it taking the NCAA over two years to issue its allegations against Miami for the Nevin Shapiro scandal? The school has cooperated from the start and now they get strung around and have to go forward with recruiting with this black cloud over their head. Now apparently the NCAA lawyers had some unlawful dealings with Shapiro's attorney, and the whole case is in jeapordy. What a joke the NCAA has become. Are they really this incompetent and crooked?

You really have to ask that? You'd be hard pressed to find an organization (and their current leader) more hypocritical. The NCAA is ALL about the money, as long as the right people are getting it. It's a train wreck.
