I just finished mine last night because my employer didn't have W2s ready until last Thursday (Jan 31!). I'm getting back $2078 from the feds and $17 from the state.

Mine are e-filed. I'm getting a little back and have it earmarked for something that's bound to turn ugly.
E-filed mine about two weeks ago now. Getting back $2,800 combined between Federal and State taxes. I'll take it!

All the paperwork has been received....$3500 from the feds, $175 from the state. Return won't be processed until mid-late February since we claim an education credit and the IRS is still fiddling around with that on their end.

Remember the "good ol' days" when it was considered dumb to get back those kinds of refunds because banks actually paid interest on savings accounts? I used to set my deductions so that I got back < the value of one personal exempt (it was about $600 in the day), but since having the feds tend the $2000 extra I have withheld costs me < $.50, it's a no-brainer to let them do it.

Hat tip for the TaxAct recommendation. Less than $20 to file both fed and state as opposed to TurboTax's $68. Less annoying to use as well.

E-filed our fed and state last Thursday. The earliest we are expected to get our refund is March 4, possibly later. We have rental property income, which is one of the triggers for receiving a later refund, because of additional paperwork. Whatever. Just give me my money so I can spend it on Tigers' Opening Day and Disney fun for my girls.

I got my refund in about ten days and spent it in about ten minutes. Paid for a Great Wolf Lodge weekend in March and put the rest on my credit card.
Getting $845 back from the Feds, I'm good with that. No state tax, God Bless Texas! Didn't loan them too much and don't have to pay more. That's always my goal.

Fed refund was deposited on Friday. State refund was deposited today. I just need to file local income taxes with one City that we lived in this year for the first five months of the year. I need to do it by hand because they are perhaps the only City in Michigan that does not have its forms on Turbo Tax. Idiots.

Got a letter from Merrill Lynch saying I need to hold off on filing as my REIT may pay an extra dividend for 2012. Wondering how long I am going to have to wait? I need to call them.

Screwed again... got to make a $1,900 payment to Uncle Sam like usual. Apparently Uncle Sam hates DINKs that don't have a lot of debt. I think my wife may have listed a '1' instead of a '0' on her W-4, so I'm going to have her check that. Financially I try to plan over the year for up to a $2,500 payment, so didn't have to sweat this year's.
