Moments where you think of BUN

Brocktoon spoke out loud what I thought to myself - that a pazcki day thread reminded him of Bear Up North
I think about BUN alot and there are many small reminders. Don't laugh, but every time I look at urinal screens or urinal cakes I think of him - his company distributed those items you know.

A few weeks ago I was at the grocery store and wanted to buy some sort of 'grandpa beer'. I saw Rolling Rock and had to get it.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I never went back to my old avatar so I think of BUN every time I see one of my posts. Just can't bring myself to change it.

Anytime I think about That School Up North. Also, whenever I talk to a really informed member of the public. I always think there are really only a few people outside of what we do that "get" what we do. BUN got it.

I never encounter urinals or urinal cakes so I'll pass on that. Today I learned my late sister's first boyfriend died on Saturday. Over 40 yrs ago, but still... That brought back the wave of those who have passed lately. BUN, two guys not much older than me I used to work with, one female admin not much older, and now the sister's boyfriend. All since October.

When I see Katie posting on Facebook.

Pretty frequently, when RJ and I are chatting and Bear's name comes up. It's still hard to absorb.

Do you mean Bowling Green or U of T?

I think of him whenever I think about my cabin which is 'Up North'.
