The Town of Huntersville, a rapidly growing community emphasizing quality design through a form based code and located 12 miles north of Charlotte, is accepting applications for a Planner I. Position is responsible for subdivision reviews, customer assistance, processing residential and commercial permits as needed, administration of zoning code including processing amendments, working with boards and commissions, maintaining development data base and other tasks as needed. Requires general knowledge of community planning principles, urban design, governmental law, oral and written communication, organization and problem solving in a fast-paced environment. Requires graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in City/Regional Planning or closely related field and some professional planning experience. Salary grade begins at $39,269.
