Since I have taken a hiatus from the site, I figured it was high time to re-introduce myself. I think my first post was in 2001, when I was considering moving up to Canada from Washington State. Things are very different up here, and I soon missed the comraderie of planners in the States. Regularly haunting Cyburbia after the move helped a lot. I was a mod for several years here and had the unenviable task of adding links to the resource directory before that.
I've been lucky enough to meet many of you in person at varous national conferences, laefests and get togethers (and even had lunch with Cardinal earlier today). The talent, goodwill and twisted sense of humour of the throbbing brain keeps drawing me back. I'm sure many longtimers can relate. You lurkers know who you are (ahem, RepoMan).
Happy to be back, and looking forward to meeting many more of you next month.
