Maker's Markets

Has anyone run into these? They are a combination of farmer's market, bake sale, and place to sell your gadgets. Some places may consider them flea markets or just plain farmers' markets, but since our definitions are so restrictive, we're looking for a more open-ended description that will allow some flexibility over time.

I would just somehow combine it with the concept of pop up retail - maybe it's really temporary retail market that has a host of requirements, like use of the ROW, how long, how often, pedestrian and vehicular clearance (for safety), and where in town

Will any production occur onsite? I am very intrigued by the economic development potential of maker spaces, or tinker spaces. It is a concept much like coworking, but evolved around shared use of resources like woodworking or electronic equipment. Naturally, this has the potential to evolce beyond the backyard workshop and into manufacturing. Similarly, a facility strictly for sales would be a retail operation.
