    Truth & Lies

Here's the premise: Post 3 things about yourself. Two items must be true and 1 item should be a lie. Then it is up to others to guess which is the lie. I'll go first.

    1. I've never broken a bone.
    2. I'm featured in a book by a NY Times journalist.
    3. I dated an actor.
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. -Martin Luther King Jr.

For Dandy I'm going to guess the broken bone thing is the lie. The other two just make you more interesting. Personnaly I've only broken one bone, but I've done that three times.

    I'll add my own.

    1. I've been to more countries than states
    2. My family tree can be traced back to the Manhatten Purchase
    3. I earned my pilot's license at 19
I don't pretend to understand Brannigan's Law. I merely enforce it.

Ding! Ding! You are correct, sir! I've only broken one bone - the big toe on my right foot. I dropped a 25lb weight on it.

dvdneal, your lie is #3. (I'm horrible at games like this.)

I think dvdneal didn't earn a pilots licence at 19. Maybe.

    1. I went to my first bar in Utah.
    2. My grandma is from Sweden.
    3. I've never been waterskiing.

Gotta go with #1. No one in the entire state of Utah drinks and consequently there are no bars.

    1. I have never spoken to comedic actor Tim Conway on the phone
    2. I have 'perfect pitch'
    3. Three different members of my extended family have competed in the Olympics (in two different sports)
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. #3 is the lie. Everyone from Canada is fit and active so of course you've been water-skiing.

Isn't Ursus drunk most of the time? Therefore, Maister, your hypothesis is false.

    Maister, your lie is #2.

    1 - I am married with children.
    2 - I am debt free.
    3 - I drive a Saturn Ion car.

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

Nope, Vancity nailed it - I have only one (somewhat distant) relative who was an Olympian.

That's a tough one, JNA. Hmm, you're always bragging about your Maserati yet you are a planner which could mean that you have a lot of debt. However, since your mother owns that mansion on the Shore it makes me think you come from a lot of money. Therefore you could own the Maserati outright. And just because you own the Maserati doesn't meant that you don't have something more sensible to drive to work, lest you anger the rest of City Hall with your flashy car and jewels, so you could also drive a Saturn. Therefore, Watson, I have deduced that #1 is indeed the lie. *puffs on pipe*

Does this have something to do with the exchange rate? Does a Canadian #2 equal and 'Murrican #3?

    Ok.....

    Here we go:

    1. My last name was used in a episode of South Park.
    2. I'm married to a woman who is a direct descendent of Nathaniel Palmer, co-discoverer of the South Orkney Islands and the first American to sight Antarctica.
    3. I own a $5,500 sniper rifle.

I am going to go with #1. The other two seem to just fit.

    Alright:

    1. I have run a sub 15 minute 5k.
    2. I once at 8,000 calories in a day.
    3. I won a fairly large lottery prize in 2010.

For those that guessed, no I have no pilot's license. My friend in high school actually did get his at 18 though. I just need a better lie.

For Hink, I can only guess...how about the 8,000 calorie day, you sound too healthy to do that. I actually have eaten close to that much, that's what started my diet.

For TheOne's, based upon a text no other information I have decided to change my answer to #3.

Hinky, I think #1 is the lie. You've probably gotten close to that though.

Well both of you are wrong. Unless you consider $20 fairly large.... It was difficult but I did manage 8k in a day when I was training pretty hard. We wanted to break 10k, but there was just no way on earth it was going to happen.

As for the 5k - 14:57 it is. Boom

You need to project a kinder, gentler The One. Really the only way to salvage your public image at this point is to go with a unicorn or rainbow pony avatar. I am convinced doing so would successfully alter your image.

Off topic, but are you sure a unicorn will save his image?
