Does anyone have any experience with something you might call an "Adopt-A-Farmer" program or something similar? Especially for rural and/or growing cities/counties?
I apologize for not having more information but this idea was thrown out there by a teammate and a Google search was not as fruitful as I thought.
Any help of leads would be helpful.

What is the objectives of a farmer adoption program. Is it awareness, preservation, sustainability, apprenticeship, continuity, ....? My first thought of a similar program or concept without know what your objectives are would be CSA's.
I'm guessing it's awareness since there are many CSAs in the area. I was just fishing for ideas (or should I say trying to harvest ideas?)

To be honest Tide, I have never seen such a program. This is someone who has owrked in farm county/rural areas before.
When did I go from Luke Skywalker to Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Do... do they need adopting?
I'd say farmers outnumber non-farmers in my area, at least by land ownership. They seem to do okay on their own. Are you trying to help the farmer, or the, um, adoptive parent?
