2013 Fantasy Football - WHO IS IN?

Alright, since we still don't have a setup determined yet, let us at least get a count of people who are interested. I am also going to send a PM to everyone who played last year, but officially you must respond to this thread to be added to the list.

Depending on how many people we get, we might have two leagues. I think $10 is a reasonable cost to play.

    Right now the rules are:

    - $10 entry
    - Keeper league after this year?

The players who have expressed interest are:

    - Hink
    - Giff
    - MD Planner
    - UrbaneSprawler
    - Raf
    - The One
    - Mastiff
    - Plankton
    - Duke
    - Tide

    No:

    - Hilldweller
    - Brocktoon
    - ddomin4360
    - Planderella

Depends on when we plan to do the drafting.

What the heck, after several years on hiatus, I'll get back in.

It's been so long I had to look up when the Western Maryland Hellbenders won the Cyburbia Bowl. It was all the way back in the 2005 season. And Mark Brunnell was my quarterback! There isn't a single starter from that team still in the NFL. That makes me feel very old.
    It was too much tequila . . . . . or not quite enough . . .

    I'm in for $10.

I would not prefer to do a keeper, unless it's having keepers that were never drafted within the first say 10-15 rounds. This way the current top tiers (Peterson, Rodgers, etc.) are available each year, but it allows the unknowns/rookies, etc. as potential keepers and acts almost like a farm system.

The vote was to keep it on Cyburbia so we will most likely start in two weeks and have two weeks to complete all rounds.

I like this idea. A modified keeper league might be interesting. I would say first 5 rounds though. That is plenty of talent.

I am out, best of luck this season.

However, if for some reason you need one more to start the league I will help out.

So these are the people who played last year (those in this year are bolded):

    Duke
    ddomin4360
    Planderella
    Hink
    Whose Ur Planner
    Brocktoon
    Hilldweller
    The One

    UrbaneSprawler
    Raf
    Mastiff
    Tranplanner
    Giff
    Tide
    Plankton

Since it next week we want to start the drafting, we need to get a hold of anyone that might want to play. I sent everyone a PM, but if you know any of those folks outside of our world, feel free to send them an email. Friday we cut it off, and determine the final setup.

2012 CFFL Champion - WHO DATS

I've been in this league since Year 1 and although I've enjoyed it immensely, I think it's time for me to bow out. Have a great season. WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I commish an 8 team league for over a decade and for the past three years, draft rounds 13-17 (and free agent pickups) have been keeper eligible, being able to keep three into the following year. I think it's worked out well in terms of strategy and a different dynamic than just no keepers, or keepers and always having say an Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson unavailable. That said, it's more work as commish tracking it (unless the website we use here has better keeper status tracking).

If it's a choice between standard keepers and no keepers though, I would say no.

I'm pretty sure Tide wants in. I would like to have at least 10 teams, 12 would be better. There are too many players to make 8 team leagues very interesting. It is looking like this will be a one league deal though. If it ends up that way Hink and I will co-commission the league, which is good for me as my fall looks to be quite busy.

Alright we need to finalize the league. Last call... we need 1 more.

    Whose Ur Planner?

With 12 people it looks like we are going to do one league. $10 a piece - for a pot of $120. $80 to first, $30 to second, and $10 to third? Or do you want the spoils to go to the victor?

We can determine the keeper status at the end of the year.

Sounds good for payouts. We could use paypal for fund transfers, one of the commissioners could hang on to the money in their paypal account.
