Just got my authorization to travel to podunk.. i mean the lovely hamlet of Visalia for this year's CalAPA conference. Anyone else headed to the CA's final frontier?

I won a registration from my state section so I guess I will be traveling to the lovely Valley the first week of October. Why couldn't I have won a registration when the conference was in a more exciting locale is beyond me, but hey its a good way to get some CM credits and escape the office for a few days.

Anyone want to join me for the exciting conference in Manhattan, Kansas? You get excited until you see it's the little apple in Kansas not the one you hoped for.
Need a planner? Why not Dvd?

No... I think that California countryside is wonderful, but I don't think I could deal the politics of the state.
Me: "I am sorry, but the Ordinance and the Master Plan does not permit that at this time. But if you would like to request amendments, this 355 page document outlines the procedure. You will need…. (CLIPPED TO ACCOMMODATE LIMIT) …. It will likely take 36 to 48 months to get final approvals. Then you can submit for a building permit and break ground Would you like to get started with the process?

Applicant: "Geeze, a simple No you can't do that would have worked"
