Plan and feasibility study for infill project - examples

    Hi all -

I'm looking for examples of a combined plan and feasibility assessment (or similar) for a publicly-owned urban infill site. Essentially the site (approx. 2-3 ac) currently contains parking and some marine-associated uses. It has the potential for redevelopment that could benefit the functioning of the downtown & waterfront. This might include both public and private uses. So, we are looking for examples of a process that explores potential uses from both a planning and a feasibility perspective, to determine one or more uses that would both be appropriate and economically feasible for the site. Any examples of a similar process/report (and the RFP/Q for it) would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

I'm curious what city you're planning for since I live in BC.

I don't have any examples to give, but I would suggest scouring the document libraries on the websites of various city councils, since feasibility studies are often made public. I did just have a quick look myself on my local council's site (Langley Township) just now but I've not been able to find anything so far that sounds similar to what you're looking for.

This is one from Hutto, Texas. Might not be the perfect example, but maybe it gives you something to build from.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I do a lot fo this kind of work, either alone, or I do the market analysis while a larger firm does the planning. If you want to PM me with your email I can send a couple examples of different approaches.
