Boston's Back Streets program - successful?

I'm researching industrial land preservation in the face of the strong pressures to redevelop land as residential/mixed-use.

I'm looking at several American cities, one of which is Boston and its Back Streets initiative. I have the basic info of what the program is, its goals, etc. What I am lacking however is any information about how successful the program has been (results? has the number of manufacturers increased?). Basically, I can't find any results or studies or reports that are dated later than 2002 - which was over a full decade ago!

Any information to steer me in the right direction or even people I could contact would be immensely helpful. Thanks!

That might be a flawed way to judge the success of the initiative. Manufacturing jobs have been steadily declining in America as production has moved overseas, and no amount of land-use planning will change that. Changes will need to take place at the macro level.

1/3 loss of manufacturing jobs in past decade for Boston.
    The content contrarian

Good point, thank you. I should have used a better choice of words, I am looking for information on ANY results of the program since 2002.
