    Urban planning courses

    Hi,

I have been accepted for a maters in urban planning from Oxford, but got a Visa rejection! I am still very interested in the field and I wondering if there is any Good Urban planning courses that could be done in the US or Europe?
Courses with continuation to a master degree would be preferable but, if there is a recommended course that would be great too.

    Thanks in Advance...

That stinks, but yes there are a lot of courses you can still do. Why do you have to go to Europe or the Americas? Are the schools in Egypt really that bad?

Under a worse case scenario you could always take coursework online, but I doubt you can do everything online.

The University of Florida offers an online master's degree in urban planning. I cannot attest to the quality since it's a relatively new program.

Also be aware that MIT has placed many of its planning courses on its OpenCourseWare site. If you're thinking of reapplying for your visa and want to get a head-start while you wait, you can't go wrong with free stuff from MIT.

    Best of luck.
