Just got back to local gov after 10 months out

Its taken a few weeks to adjust to being back. It brings a different perspective for sure being out that long. I was not sure I would ever come back.

One thing, it brings a lot more focus as to what one really wants to do. For me, it means smaller towns. I never worked in a truly big city, but I did in a medium sized one. I just like the slower pace and the fact that I can set my own agenda to a much greater degree.

    Its good to be back.

Welcome back to the public side. Some days I think about going to the dark side, but I get satisfaction out of helping citizens navigate the development process and making their building goals happen.

I tend to agree with you about community size. I have worked in communities as small as 300 people and cities as large as Chicago. My preference is from about 10,000 to 50,000.
Anyone want to adopt a dog?
