    Announcing Auto Avatar Week

PlannerGirl inspired me to follow suit after she changed her avatar to the BMW logo. How better to celebrate the capture of those bastards in DC that celebrate that Father of Sprawl that Poisoner of the Planet the machine that we love to gripe about, but secretly love? Let's us now refuel our vehicles standing proudly and stoicly at the pumps.

Yes, let's have Auto Avatar Week.

Hard core bikers and public transportation users may post pictures of your favorite conveyance.

    Should I go with...

    ...the car that I have?

    OK

NHP - Your call! But I'd go with what I WANT!

PG - Then who was it? I must make the correction.

Okay I'll participate in auto week. I drive a VW Jetta TDI. I get an average of 40 mpg, but I typically take the bus to work and save the car for leisure travel.

I did have the BMW logo up for a few moments with the words "Bright Modern Woman" under it.

My other car is the Outback Sport - its an excellent car! Highly recommended. However, demographics will dictate that if you buy one, you are a dyke.

I drive a 99 Honda Accord Coupe and I love it, but I would love one of those new 2003 240 hp Accord Coupes even more! They look pretty sweet....and they come with an optional mp3 player.

    1998 Volkswagen Passat.

Colorado Red. A rolling ticket machine.

Loaded. Everything except the automatic climate control system.

Tiptronic transmission. 30 valve V6. 2.8 litres of Teutonic "hell ja!" goodness. You can't help but hear Wagner and think about invading small European nations single-handedly when you step on the accelerator.

Don't even think of calling it a Jetta. I'm not of the male Jetta driving persuasion. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.

What I really want, though, is one of these.

    The Volkswagen Phaeton.

    Again ... JAAAAAA!

You do realize that you have to attach these to any Volvo avatar. It's just tradition.

I just changed my avatar to the maker of my mountain bike, Dekerf

Sorry it is so small, I can't figure out / have trouble shrinking images.

I drive a jetta, and I'm not a chad or trixie either, it is what i could afford that was a bit nicer/upscale then the usual.

    I want a MB C230.

Yes, but that would defeat Dan's purpose of picking liberal states....we're about as conservative a state as you can find east of the midwest.

But, so he doesn't feel left out....
