    Just a reminder that you all might want to start thinking about tomorrow's submissions!

    This Sunday afternoon, I will be crossing into the UP and will say a prayer for BUN.

    I did my sunday afternoon routine on saturday afternoon -

    trip to the recycling drop off;
    2 loads of laundry;
    balanced check book;
    one serious (none FAC) posting on Cyburbia

    I did one thing you can't do on a sunday afternoon - got a hair cut.

    What will I do today ?

    I think you and PZ would haves really liked him. The first time I met him we were both bellied up or a bar waiting to meet up with other Cyburbans at Stanfest 1.

    Last night I had dinner with a girlfriend from my college years. The last time I saw her was 1977.

    Caught wind that one of my good friends at work is probably going to get canned tomorrow (lots of politics at my place of work). To warn, or not to warn?

    I've decided to keep out of it. All will be over by tomorrow anyway.

    This Sunday afternoon, we visited with my Aunt, cousin and his family at his home in NC. I drove for four hours after that until I arrived at my destination in VA. I didn't do any of my typical Sunday activities.

    Hi. How are you? I am fine.
    People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    You know what FINE stands for, Maister?

    Freaked out, insecure, neurotic and emotional.

    Shall we talk about this?

    Seems like someone might be projecting a bit. Anything you'd like to talk about?

    Freaked-out + emotional = Femotional.

    Question:
    Would most guys rather be fine, or merely femotional?

    As a man I'd have to have an emotion before I could answer that.

    Here in the East, it's almost not Sunday afternoon anymore.
    *Thank goodness* for all the West Coasters who may be drifting in a bit later.

    Mae West would have said, "Goodness has nothing to do with it."

    So I watched the sequel to Hunger Games last night - Catching Fire. I guess there's something about the whole YA genre that kinda annoys. Must be not getting past the suspension of disbelief over the premise.

    I recommend you add St. Simons Island GA, Monticello FL, and the San Marcos neighborhood of Jacksonville FL to your bucket list. You will thank me later.
