    Hello from Portland, OR

    Hi there,

I live in Portland, OR and although I do not have a background in urban planning I have dreams of a career in city and traffic planning. I am interested all things traffic-related and, perhaps unsurprisingly, I have a particular interest in integrating bicycles and public transportation into traffic environments. I'm looking to learn as much as I can. Very glad that this resource exists!

    Nice to meet you all,

    Tilta

Greetings from the Hoosier state along the mighty Ohio River! Welcome to Cyburbia. You'll find a lot of traffic/bike stuff here.

I strongly suggest you check out Copenhagenize.com and Michael Colville Andersen - if you haven't already - for the best bike advocacy going.
Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.
    Abraham Lincoln

Hello from Kansas. Stick around and join in the random conversations.

    Howdy

From the dirtiest, most filthy part of California...cough cough....
Enjoy...cough....the time in Cyburbia....cough. Above all else, enjoy living in Portland.

Here is what I can expect to look like if I stay here too long:
“The way of acquiescence leads to moral and spiritual suicide. The way of violence leads to bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers. But, the way of non-violence leads to redemption and the creation of the beloved community.”

    Howdy from Central Texas!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
