    OSU still sucks.

    Florida couldn't show up
Florida State lost their quarterback & possibly the season
Tenn survives GaTech in double OT
    Texas died again
Pretty much the Top 10 won (unless they played each other)
VaTech v. WVU was a good game
    and Howard upset UNLV

    College football is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Western Michigan did much better than I thought they would. Michigan's defense looked strong but the QB needs to improve accuracy.

    OSU still sucks.

I'll just say a win is a win for ASU.

K-State had a rough start against a division 2 school. It might be a rough year for them.

There is no crying from me. Just stating obvious facts. Even if they win, they still stuck.

    That is because
Thursday night, Florida Governor Rick Scott mandated that all public schools, colleges, and universities be closed from Friday to Monday.

Nice wins by Georgia, Clemson, WSU, Okalhoma...

Speaking of which, Oklahoma moves up to #3 while tosu drops to #9

Here's the thing I don't understand though (I know, it's bullshit early season polling):
Not sure how Miami moves up 2 spots to #15 when they didn't even play, BUT Florida, South Florida, 7 Florida State all drop 1 spot and didn't play either for the same reason.

    On to week 3!

Hurricane Irma must have really shuffled things around in Florida!

I'm happy to see Michigan above OSU but I don't think they played like a top 10 team, at least not for the first 3 quarters of the game. They were pretty damn sloppy. Yes, their defense is legit but they will really need to tighten things up on offense if they are going to be able to hold their own against their tougher Big 10 opponents.

One of the more interesting observations... the final AP Top 25 last season included no Texas teams for the first time since 1967. There is now currently no Texas team in the Top 25, and I don't see that changing based on performances so far this season. For a state that lives & breathes football, that is a pretty shocking thing.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I did not see any of the games, but it sounds like it was a good weekend to watch.

Apparently yesterday if you had an iphone and asked Siri "who owns Ohio stadium" the answer was "Baker Mayfield". That's pretty funny.

Michigan dropped 1 spot from 7 to 8. I know they don't like move teams down the ranks too much after they win, but that #8 spot is a generous ranking for Michigan.

We watched the end of the Texas USC game. What a stupid decision to have your freshman QB try and carry the ball in on the goal line.

I wasn't that impressed with what I saw of Darnold, and I hear he's in contention for a top pick in the NFL draft...

I agree. We did not see the game, but I listened to it online and was very disappointed in how Michigan played. A top 10 team should have destroyed Air Force.

Playing the service academies is tough. Defenses just aren't built to stop a run first option team like them anymore. So they have to spend time in practice working on responsibilities for the defense. They spend one week out of the season working on something they won't see again. Don't read too much into that. Now offensiively Michigan has some issues. Finishing drives with field goals instead of touchdowns could be a problem going forward. Right now though, I don't know who you'd put ahead of Michigan. That defense is playing really well.

The BIG East race should be a good one. Looking forward to attending the PSU-Michigan game. Thinking about sucking it up and making my first visit to Columbus since the 90's but I'm not sure about that yet.

PSU v Michigan will be a good game.

But that has me thinking. What does everyone think will be the biggest regular season game of the year?

For Michigan, it might end up being the PSU game. With OSU already having a loss it has the potential of being a deciding showdown of undefeateds (provided we don't blow it against MSU). Wisconsin looks good but they have a relatively easier schedule with no games against PSU, OSU, or MSU. Unless Nebraska pulls it together or Northwestern upsets them next week they could be undefeated when they play Michigan (Iowa the prior week is probably their toughest game until the Michigan game).

It's hard to say what would be the biggest regular season game each year because each week can change the meaning of subsequent weeks so quickly.
