From the Bay Area, most manufacturing growth has been clustered in the East Bay. The cities of Fremont/Union City/Hayward have done a good job of building around the TESLA facility, formerly NUMMI (Toyota/GM). There are also examples of cannabis driving light manufacturing in Nevada, Colorado, and Washington state.

Although these jobs are not like your mom's or dad's manufacturing jobs. Lots of automation is involved.
