    Homelessness and the Information Age

These two articles are from 2015 and some of the information is outdated. For example, the link to Mobile4All is a dead link. That project appears to be defunct.

Smartphones are a lifeline for homeless people

    There is also this:
Link-SF is San Francisco’s first mobile-optimized website that connects homeless and low-income residents with critical and life-saving resources nearby.

Don't think anyone here would presume to lecture you about homelessness.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Maister, I have no idea what you are talking about. I was just doing some research and thought I would post a few things here.

I'm still trying to figure out how to interact effectively with the site. Maybe a better way would be to post everything to Random Thoughts instead of starting separate posts. I have no clue about that either. I imagine I shall continue stumbling my way forward, as always.

    Moderator note:
thread consisting of [link to articles of general interest to planners] moved to 'The Plannersphere'. Carry on.

When I worked in a small rural town, we dealt with the issue that all state services are only accessed online now, you can't call anyone, they just send you to the website so for all vulnerable populations, including the homeless, this is a real problem. We used CDBG funds to give a stipend to someone who would sit with folks at the computer and help them.
