    Snapshot 6/7/18

Name three of the coolest/most useful apps you currently have on your phone
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I know. I don't have one of them there newfangled intelliphones or whatever they're called either. I assume the people that do have them probably have at least three apps on them. I could actually be wrong about that, though.

Just trying to do my job and spur discussion. It was either this or a thread about the comparative advantages of various feminine hygiene products and the apps won out.

TiltShift - for interesting architectural photography
    FIFA WorldCup2018 - self explanatory

    My three are:
A key ring app that has all my loyalty/ pass cards on it
Pandora app from when I'm at the gym. Plus, it syncs with my car.
A couple of game apps when I'm in killing time mode.

JNA- they are like a real cool version of Morris Code. Plus, people now have phones they can carry with them all the time. They don't have to be connected up to a jack in the wall with a cord. The wonders of the modern age.
When did I go from Luke Skywalker to Obi-Wan Kenobi?

I don't pretend to understand Brannigan's Law. I merely enforce it.

Spell check - it is Morse

Back in the day when I was in the Boy Scouts - to earn 1st Class you had to
Send & receive a message of 20 words using either Morse or semaphore codes.

They are both. We had to keep it at a beginners level. It's like discussing space travel with a person from an Amazon tribe.

I'll put Parkmobile on my list too!

    My other two:
    Marine Bells
    Navy Bugle Calls

They are not useful at all but I enjoy them. I'd put them in the "cool" category.
