    What's everyone doing tonight...anything special???

Here's my excitement for the night...

Once again, fireman hubbie has to work. He has a 24 hour shift, that starts at 7:30 am, so I won't see him until tomorrow.

So, here's the big fun.....I am going over to a friends house and we are going to drink some wine, watch a couple movies, scrapbook, drink some more wine, and help her with her 'save the date' cards for her wedding in July. Her fiance is a cop and since both him and Chad get off work at the same time tomorrow, we are going to cook them breakfast.

Nothing too exciting, but it should be a fun time. At least it will get me started on the hundreds of wedding pictures we have laying around.

Due to the impending weather, my wife and I aren't really doing anything special tonight. My brother had invited us to his place in NY, but the prospect of driving to and from NY in less than 24 hours just wasn't appealing.

So....we're going to go to my parents' house, play board games, drink a few pops (my wife already called me to make sure I pick up a couple of bottles of Baja Tango), eat some appetizers (shrimp, bacon wrapped scollops), and watch the ball drop with family.

We're having friends in for dinner, and might walk to another friend's house for their party.

We're going to have a nice quiet dinner and some wine, maybe watch the ball drop.. probably just spend time together before next year arrives.

Going to the reservation and blow $200 at the casino.

Oh yeah, I'm gonna get drunk, too! Good thing my ride doesn't drink!

Nothing, really. For some reason, I tend to go to bed earlier on New Year's Eve than on a typical weekend night.

I had a nice date last night. It would be too awkward to see her tonight, so I'll just hang at home with the pooches.

We're supposed to be heading out to a house party at some friends, but I'm not sure if we're going to make it. I can't seem to go more than 15 minutes without visiting the throne room...

What a day to be sick!

That bug sure is making the rounds...

As for tonight...broiled (and outrageously expensive) Australian lobster tails, petit filet mingon, steamed baby asparagus, baby red potatoes, red wine, champagne, my honey and Star Wars Attack of the Clones on my New DVD...

We (b.f., b.f.'s mum, and I) will probably head down to the local pub. Other than that, no plans...

My wife & I will probably spend a quiet evening at home, after letting our 3 yr old stay up as late as he'd likes tonight. All in hope that he'll let us sleep in tomorrow morning.

No way, El... Jimmy Buffet (via Marvin Gardens) said it best.

    Why Don't We Get Drunk

I really do appreciate the fact you're sittin' here
    Your voice sounds so wonderful
But yer face don't look too clear
So bar maid bring a pitcher, another round o' brew
Honey, why don't we get drunk and screw

    Chorus:
Why don't we get drunk and screw
I just bought a water bed, it's filled up for me and you
They say you are a snuff queen
    Honey I don't think that's true
So, why don't we get drunk and screw

-- Spoken: "Pick it Coral Reefers, here we go..."

    (swing instrumental)

    Chorus:
Why don't we get drunk and screw
I just bought a waterbed it's filled up for me and you
They say you are a snuff queen
    Honey I don't think that's true
So why don't we get drunk and screw
Yeah, now baby I say, (Lord!)
Why don't we get drunk and screw
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
C'mon and get me you twist of fate
I'm standing right here Mr. Destiny
If you want to talk well then I'll relate
If you don't so what cause you don't scare me
