    Performance Standards for Heavy Industry

Good day everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm currently involved in a brownfield redevelopment site project, and I am looking for leads or people with experience / info on perfomance standards or modern zoning bylaws for heavy industry. Basically we are reviewing the potential to redevelop the site for more modern, 'clean' heavy industries in an industrial park setting. This would replace the current 'empty' site where several meat packing plants used to be before they closed and were demolished. This is one of several options we are looking at. Any help or information would be appreciated.

City of Philadelphia, and City of Chester, PA went throught his a while back. You may want to consult with them.

Perhaps "cleaner" would be more accurate. Examples would be an electronics recycling plant, advanced composite materials, etc.

Your examples are not really clean (these items have a lot of toxicity associated with them, just not billowing clouds of smoke).

You might want to look at referencing the NAICS for similar and compatible uses in your code.
