Native American Tribe Claims Half My City

The Seaconke Wamponaug tribe of about 300 people has filed suit to claim half of my City (of employment) and more. They donít want to necessarily kick people off their land but do want land somewhere in NE and financial compensation. I donít think theyíre federaly recognized. Oh, well.

    Warning, rant follows:

I think I should be able to pretty much clean up once I find myself a good shyster to file the lawsuits for me. I know my family must have lost good land back in Ireland and Scotland so Tony Blair better watch out. Oh, and Rome has some explaining for my Christian ancestors and that lion stuff.
I guess while we are at it my Dad's side of the family got run off to Canada by those unruly Colonists. Of course that might be a bit of a wash because Mom's side of the family were the Colonists doing the running off. But I guess that doesn't matter because I'm looking for the deep pockets of government to sue anyway.
Ainít this lawsuit lotto great! Maybe I can convince my Dad to take up smoking so we can put a claim in against the tobacco companies as well.

    NOT

I tell you what, I'm so tired of hearing about these lawsuits filed about ancient wrongs to someoneís ancestors. If you personally have been wronged fine sue for compensation for actual damages. Forget the rest!

Oh, and by the way, it's still "Squaw Mountain"
    Cheers,

    Smoking gives you cancer.
    Fast food makes you fat.
Guns are a tool that can be misused to kill.

Unless the action is deliberate or the company lied, there is no case.

Anyone want to join me in a lawsuit against GM for creating a product that pollutes, kills, damages the environment, and raises my taxes?

KANSAS CITY (AP) - Municipalities across the United States and Canada today filed suit against Cyburbia, a planning-related web site. Parties to the suit claim that Cyburbia has created an on-line environment that is addictive to planners, related professionals, and occassional spouses. A spokesman for the group, M. Ugbub, was quoted as saying "Those people should be working. I need to take my prozac."

Many members of Cyburbia proudly claim the label of "Commie Planner," and Attorney General John Ashcroft has reportedly launched an investigation of Cyburbia's alleged ties to North Korea.

Animal rights groups including the SPCA recently enacted a boycott of Cyburbia over the large number of felines whose deaths have resulted from the members' activities.
