It is all a matter of perspective!!!
Saw this link and thought of this thread. No offense to those who use the Segway. Everything goes eXtreme at some point. Carry on.

Seems like a pretty pathetic knock-off to me - I doubt it is as maneuverable as the original.
Hey look !!! I'm in the paper and it's not about SOBs.

Nice article Budgie , but you left out the part about chasing........while drinking ....... ah, you get the point"People thought this would be a toy for geeks," Holland said. He doesn't consider himself a geek![]()

Budgie lol. Do you undo your coat buttons so it trails like a cape? Nice article. And, it can be ridden with no hands -- or, as Holland likes to do, hands out front, Superman-style.

Great article Budgie! So how have you capitalized on your new found celebrity?
Now that's the photo they should have used in the article.Originally posted by Budgie
Oddly enough, in these here parts I've been a celebrity off and on for the last 7 years. I'll never forget the time the newspaper had the headline "ADULT BUSINESS COMING TO TOWN" and there was my picture in the article. Nothing like good publicity. Not to brag, but I'm a planning veteran of radio, tv and print.Originally posted by biscuit
Actually, I'm trying to manipulate the bar waitress at the ELKS club to come to my studio apartment for a personal segway glide.

I think this is funny since Disney owns over 100 Segways and uses them all over their parks for vendors and security. So, it's only "safe" for their employees. As a private property owner, it's Disney's choice, but I will still defend my right to use a segway in public right-of-way and public places/buildings.Originally posted by JNA

There are a dozen businesses (east coast, west coast and international) that offer sight seeing tours via Segway.
Here's a website that has purchase and rental business locations.

I talked to a banker about a tour business a couple months ago and he said he'd give a loan on the spot. I've got a dealer application -- I'm just not ready to jump yet. I'm not an entrepreneur by nature.
