or is just like the papers that have alien sighting stories and tose about 74 lb babies?

    just wondering-

    thanks for the help!

I consider it "real" but with unprofessional and often unethical journalism standards.

I would never use it as a source of realiable information for a rearch project.

THANKS!! They had a story on it that was just forwarded to me, and I kept thinking.. "and there are alien abductions everyday and there really is a 74lb newborn baby".

As Public Enemy so eloquantly put it:

"Here's a letter to the New York Post
The worst piece of paper on the east coast
Matter of fact the whole state's forty cents
in New York City fifty cents elsewhere
It makes no goddamn sense at all
America's oldest continuously published daily piece of bulls--t"

I think that they try to have legit. stories and reporting, but they are also famous for gossip columns and tabloid style cover photos and stories.

I think a guy I went to high school with writes a gossip column for the NY Post. To twist an old expression:

"I wouldn't read any paper which would have him as a columnist."

Actually, its a better paper than most might think. Is it sensational? absolutely.

Page Six is known as a gossip page, but no different really than the certain elements of the NY York Times (where to you think the term "society page: came from?) as well as the Washington Post, where you can find that, for example Chairman Greenspan and his wife, NBC "correspondant" Andrea Mitchell have tea at former secretary of State "Aunt Bea" Albright's swanky Georgetown digs.

The Post's Business section is better than the times by far.

And for Sports fans no paper covers the home team better.

    Just my two cents.

    [Off topic]

    it's a fish wrap

If only they still allowed fish and chips to be wrapped in used newspaper, dye adds a certain flavour to fish and chips that can't be beat.
