    Florida Planners, Are You Listening?

Has the time come for the Florida Department of Professional Regulations to start licencing Urban Planner? Perhaps licensing can be done on the basis of experience, not written exams which do not always reflect one's experience and planning abilities. Five consecutive years of Florida planning qualifies one for an unrestricted Professional Urban Planner License; two years of Florida planning experience qualifies one for an Associate Florida Urban Planner license. What are your thoughts on this matter, e-mail them to me. Thanks

Agreed. And does experience equate to talent any better than the ability to pass a test?
