It's that Time of Year Again

Just looked and saw that it is time for the 2nd Annual Haiku Contest. Last year's winner
was Dan, maybe he and Chet(the instigator) can compile the finalists for this year.

    Just remember 5-7-5

    Here is my first shot.

    Farewell to a Cyburbanite

    Amish Sin City
    Drawing towns on paper sheets
    Good Bye Stardarcy.
Too lazy to beat myself up for being to lazy to beat myself up for being too lazy to... well you get the point....

It's amazing the some of the causes people support.

By the way, SGB, your haiku went 6-7-6. Don't let Mr. Henry know. Not only are you perverting the Japanese haiku, you are doing it with the wrong syllable count.

    [hanging my head in shame]

Looks like my Microscam Sylable Counter (TM) failed me yet again!

I've put the following on the bulletin board in front of my desk for future reference:

    Itís five syllables
    Then seven more syllables
    Then five syllables
All these years the people said heís actiní like a kid.
He did not know he could not fly, so he did.

    Henry is a guy
Who all of his friends dispise
    Annoying jackass

..this guy is the kind of nitpicker that always has to point out why something is wrong. You know, the type when you say "We live in a free market economy" who like clockwork responds with "Actually, is is not a free market economy....blah blah blah.
