    Good Idea Gone Bad

For nerudite and Elmo, what was council thinking?

When rules and regulations go to far and don't consider reality.
Too lazy to beat myself up for being to lazy to beat myself up for being too lazy to... well you get the point....

"I will phone you tomorrow morning and enlighten you,"

Sure he will - how many times have you heard this before?

Speaking of Nerudite - she has been quiet for a while. I hope some rock music celebrity hasn't punched her again.

The funny thing is, this Klein character has been in the hot seat many times because of how he behaves when drunk (which is quite frequent...he's known as a huge booze hound). I was hoping the article would mention that he was considering going to this bar for his own personal cleaning-up.

Both nerudite and I have been busy getting ready for a big move...we are buying a house, and packing is being a real beotch. Stress abounds!

Too far? I would support no smoking in any bar. You are talking to a California Native (one that worked in Davis, no less)... and there isn't smoking in bars there. It's what I'm used to.

The City Council ended up denying the request last night for the non-alcohol 'bar' to allow smoking. No cigarettes for you, commie non-drinkers! They were afraid that one person requesting a variance would open the floodgates. In that respect, I think they are right.

Just think of it... a liquor license in a place catering to alchoholocs. Ching, ching! If all of our social service agencies would adopt that kind of entrepreeurial spirit, they would all be self-funded.
