    Yes
did you know that there were pirates on the Ohio River?
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

That pirates generally had a very democratic and fair system of picking leaders. Tended to have high morale versus the nation sponsored vessels and crews that chased them. The rule of thumb was the method of sharing loot once acquired. The creator of D&D has created a game called "Evil Stevies Pirate Game" in which you sale around the living room floor with your LEGO ships full of self elected democratic floatsam and jetsum sinking each other. Good way to kill a day without a lot of expense

Sept. 19 - Talk Like A Pirate Day

Here's your chance to wear your "puffy" shirt just like Jerry...even better if you are on the Tonight Show.

It was only a matter of time.

    Off-topic:

    but only slightly.

There was a guy at the 1996 APA conference in San Diego, that was bald, had an eye patch, and wore a striped shirt. No lie.

One evening I crashed the Ohio / Kentucky state reception and a topic of conversation was "did you see the prirate..." This one chick says, "everytime I see him I think ARGGG! ARGGG Matey!"

The next day , as I strolled to the morning session [still a bit inebriated from the OH-KY party, I see the pirate in the lobby. What comes to mind of course is, "ARGGG! ARGGG Matey!"
*everyone turned and looked* Opps that was out loud. I went back to bed.

Add to this the Marriot lobby had a parrot. The day I left someone observed, "Hey, the parrot is gone" and someone walking by said, "yeah, I guess the pirate checked out".

My persoanl favorite would have to be #5. If anyone has meeting on the 19th, and I doubt any city has official meetings on a friday, should throw in a pirate phrase or two. But only if the meeting has been going for 4 hours.

Side note: My kids love Capt. Feathersword on The Wiggles...those zany Australians!

I am going to celebrate by putting my stuff in a U-Haul, and getting out of this god forsaken place. The 19th is my last day working for the City of Reading. On the 24th I am going to be employed by the City of Portage.
Invest in the things today, that provide the returns tomorrow.
