    Great Television: World Series of Poker

    I've been spending the last three hours watching W. S. O. P. on ESPN. Its repeats, but I don't know who the champion was, so it's all new to me.

    Exciting stuff, especially the last half-hour. This is the hottest thing on TV right now.

    It's still not to late to turn from that bloated, overproduced game on FOX, or the tired old repeats on Spike and TNT.

    Just turn to ESPN.

    You guys watch poker on TV and complain that Cricket is slow. Sheesh.

    India play Australia in Brisbane starting next Thursday. Will keep you all posted . Our national team's captain, Steve Waugh, has announced he is retiring after the Sydney Test Match (early January) - just in case you've been following his career.:-}

    You should see some of the events broadcast on BBC America. My God, the Brits are a quirky lot.

    You know I'm not quite sure whether to believe you or not. It is just British enough to be a true story but surely not a Turf Growing Championships.

    Johnny Nguyen is the man ....

    I think his first name is Johnny. Its sad that I actually know the name of a professional poker player.

    My family plays $1 ante poker at every family get together, and has for three generations now. WSOP is a hot topic in the fmaily right now. Thanksgiving Day's included Texas Hold Em for the first time.
