Come one martini! You have to understand that people go nuts when they see trash-cheap offers!
    Buy buy buy!
Now this is why I never go to sales and such...people tend to leave their brains at home on sales like that.

More reasons why I tried to do zero shopping over the weekend. Groceries and movie rentals pretty much covered it. I wonder if she still thinks it was worth it for the $30 POS? I love how WM offered to put one on hold! I smell lawsuit for inadequate security and contols for public safety and welfare....

and at the "Running of the bulls" in Pampolona....and Pearl Jam concerts.

This is a comment of stupid behavior, nothing else gkmo62u. I knew the Walmart tag would drag you into this, ready for a fight, but a fight on this subject has been done before, right?

Sorry, I guess i have to add the wink.

    No fight here.

It is completely insane the whole Friday after Thansgiving thing.

You'd be surprised that we try to keep Christmas low key with some small gifts and maybe one big one for each kid.

December 25th is a special day, and I do not mean for the Wal mart or Best Buy shareholders.

I saw video tape on the Friday evening news of a fist fight between two women in, I believe, Lafayette, LA outside a Wal*Mart. One was screaming at the other "You don't want a piece of me b>>>>!" ..... Joy to the world!

Geez, and stupid ol' me thought gkmo62u was just adding to the list of places where people seem to abandon all sense...

Thanks for letting me know he was defending Walmart instead. that one slipped by me.

They should have electric cattle prods and zap any person who acts like an idiot during a huge shopping day. Then again, anybody who rushes out to buy a 30 dollar hunk of crap DVD player at 6 am should be zapped for being such an idiot.

The WalMart employees around here were handing out the DVD players to the people waiting in line, and someone dropped one on a woman's head. I understand she was given two players and flowers by the store. So I hear; I didn't shop on Friday.

The scene of the trampling is about 15 minutes from my house. CNN even covered the story. The sister who was interviewed doesn't do much to help the image of southerners...

    WHY GOD, WHY?

Why is it that *ALMOST* everyone shops at Wal-Mart? I mean come on, you stand in narrow isles, with people who sometimes have a "unique" odor, to buy things made in Asia and China, for prices that are close to if not the same as Target, K-Mart, Mijer, and other similar stores.

I will admit, I worked for a Wal-Mart for a summer in the green house just to try to understand how the cooperate monster worked. I will admit that although the stock option was nice, the rest of it was a nightmare. Over all, I am just asking why is it as popular as it is. In one of the articles today, it mentions that the Waltons are now the richest family in the world. SCARY….

Mic, somebody has to be the richest family in the world, right? Why is scary?

Its pretty obvious really why people shop there...price, selection, and convenience.

Oh, and the clerks are really cute.

P.M. update: one of the surveyors here said that one of the other surveyors was at that Wal-Mart and that the consensus among onlookers is that she dropped to the ground on her own and was not actually stepped on, although many shoppers ignored her and kept on shopping. I know, it's a "friend of a friend of a friend" type report, but who knows?

I don't think I'd want a $30 DVD player. I still believe you get what you pay for - the quality would not be the same as a better box, and I would soon want something more. It is a lot like buying bootleg tapes overseas.

I'm thinking Wal-Mart should file a pre-emptive suit against her.

On the news this morning they spoke of a special on a gentleman from PEI who has been barred from filing law suits because he has sued too many people.

The full story won't be posted until monday .
