A view of what the Pabst Building (erected 1892) originally looked like, styled with Romanesuqe and Flemmish Renaissance detailing. The ornamental clocktower and gabled roof were removed in 1948 as the structure was unable to support the weight of the decorative elements. These alterations did not significantly impove the structural integirty of the building, and was subsequently demolished in 1981.
