Waterside Place is not bad, I guess. But how do you midwesterners handle such small back yards with no privacy fences. It would give me agoraphobia

There is just some "spark" missing from most of these New Urbanist mock-ups of Victorian house types. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe the neighborhoods just need time to mature and change. Or, are the CC&Rs so rigid that they prevent any evolution or change?
