So if you haven't seen this floating around the internet already, I wanted to provide it for all to enjoy. This house is...certainly something. Please check out the 3D walkthrough of this home/school/daycare/church. The recommended task has been "find the bathtub," but once you dive in you'll notice all sorts of wild stuff.
Wow, I applaud the realtors exertions and ingenuity. There's something to be said for honesty in advertising. I mean we all feel a bit detached looking at the unreal and sterile perfection of, say, Martha Stewart's house, but there comes a point where 'lived in' can be taken a bit too far. The bedroom comes notably to mind.

Wow! I've never felt the need for a hot shower and a de-lousing after a 3D real estate walkthrough! This is going to make me really question the cleanliness of things I order online.

Is there a bootleg DVD-burning operation going on there?

Never did find a bathtub or shower, but I did see a urinal!

Edit: I found the bathtub(?)! Fittingly, it's behind all the pr0n DVDs.

IP theft headquarters?

I like the vacuum in the front door vestibule. It's likely "like new" given the general conditions of the rest of the building's interior.

There's actually alot of square footage in this building, so it's got that going for it which is nice.

I keep finding secret rooms! The warehouse downstairs is nice. As are the labelled Men's and Women's bathrooms. Reminds me, I was meaning to ask everyone what brand of urinal cakes do you use at your house?

In short, zoning violation much?

WOW. I got lost in the basement & just had to exit to get out of there. It's safer than actually setting foot in the place.

I think they had more DVDs (not you in Phx) that all the Blockbuster Video stores combined in the 4-county region.

Too many things to comment on, but most people want an open floor plan between kitchen and living room. Nope for this guy who placed entertainment centers to block them off. Then there's the accordion wall between the kitchen and bedroom.

I would be incredibly curious to find out what the story on this conversion is. It looks like it likely began its life as a multi-family apartment, with a number of additions at some point. The listing says it's zoned R-4, one might assume that is medium or high-density res.

I got lost twice in the DVD labyrinth. Apparently there is a cat to be found chilling somewhere in here, that's my next Where's Waldo challenge.

I saw the cat & the (blue) bathtub & the GGW videos.

Maister should start a scavenger hunt list!

I bet it was the front split level house first then the large two-ish story structure was added at the rear of the house for an assembly use (ie church) given the parking lot and the exterior port-cochere.

But has been used for the recent many years for a horror show of a home occupation.

A "legitimate home occupation", for sure.

So far, in a few minutes, I found:

  • A box with a backscratcher and a bunch of prescription pill bottles.
  • Hair product in a McDonald's cup in one of the bathrooms.
  • Side-by-side toilets.
  • Unopened 2017 Topless calendars.

eww.jpg

Seriously, WTF?

The other great detail are the two dept store framed photos of a nice little boy on the stairs up into the 'kitchen' from the front door.

EDIT: Whoa. I found the paths to the rest of the 'warehouse' I missed early. Wow.

I got lost in there, so I bailed to street view -- where school buses are blocking the place.

My impression: it's an eBay flipping business gone way too far, along with some CD and DVD production of questionable legality.

It appears the 3D tour on the original listing was removed (and the home/business/church/daycare is off the market now). However, someone exported said 3D tour to a separate site.

https://3d-marketing.captur3d.io/view/keller-williams-louisville-east/8800-blue-lick-rd

What is particularly wonderful about this is the "view dollhouse" and "view floorplan" buttons in the bottom left corner, which allow you to zoom out and see the layout in all its insane glory.

Unfortunately, for some reason in this 3D version the bathtub/baptismal font room is not accessible. However, you can view it in the floorplan/dollhouse.

OMGosh, thank you! I was feeling really sad that I didn't get to see the house before the link was removed.

Thoughts:

-- Can you buy HUGS juice barrels anymore?
-- The upstairs kitchen table is not cluttered; this is mysterious to me.
-- Must be a planner; there's a big map on the wall in the scary basement.
-- The Shipping Department seems well organized.
-- OMGosh the DVDs; I can't look anymore. I'm dizzy!

Found another wild one. Not claustrophobic or hectic like Blue Lick Road, but an interesting...adaptive reuse, we'll say.

3D Tour:

Zillow Listing:

I actually sort of like that one! I'm not a fan of all of the decoration choices but I think they reused the building (was this a small elementary school or something?) in a pretty interesting way. If it weren't for the big commercial doors or the drop ceiling, it might feel almost like an actual house.

Okay, so no 3D tour available right now for this one, but plenty of photos. It's a festive McMansion and too good not to share! :ha:

Tony Soprano lives!

For a house with that much stuff in it, it appears remarkably soulless.

But my main takeaway is that in the walk-in closet the guy has his shorts on hangers. The only time in my life a pair of shorts have been on a hanger is when I tried them on at the store.

He also likes golf. A lot. Probably voted for Trump. Colts Neck is home to many people with too much time and money on their hands.
