Amphitheater design questions

We are building a small amphitheater in our local park, and are wanting to review some designs that have been done previously to get ideas on how we would like ours constructed. Does anyone know of good websites, printed material, or plans for this type of construction?

Amphitheaters are firmly in the realm of landscape architecture. Linda Jewell has done a beautiful study of amphitheater designs, but I do not know if she has yet published it. I saw it as an exhibit. She is on the faculty at Berkely (I think).
