When I started my career back in the late 80's, my employer had a subscription to a periodical called the Zoning Report by Charles Reed, who resided in and published from Johnson Co., Kansas. Recently, while going through some old notebooks in the planning library at my current employer, I found a nearly complete collection of the first 16 volumes of this periodical, from 1983 to 1998. The last issue I have is v. 16, no. 9, dated August 16, 1998.
Does anyone know when this periodical ceased publication? Does anyone know what happened to Charles Reed? The Zoning Report was filled with very timely and practical advice for keeping zoning ordinances up to date as well as tips on planning practice. His advice on how to red-pencil site plans from back in 1988 or so still influences my work today.
Any info would be appreciated.
