Try a search for Alt.architecture in the Google search engine.

They have access to newsgroup forums on architecture. Someone in the discussion group could probably help you.

When Cyburbia had more architecture links (I decided to concentrate on planning and urbanism a year or so ago), there were a lot of home blueprint catalog sites online. I'm sure they're still out there -- try "home plans" in a search engine, ad you'll find plenty.

My understanding is that Aussie houses don't have basements. For an equivalent to what you might see down under, you could also check out some sites for homebuilders that do a lot of construction in "basementless" states like California, Nevada, Texas and Florida. Most homebuilder sites will have floorplans online; you might have to dig a little bit.

Here's who's building in the town where I work ...

Bovis Homes - they're a British builder with some projects in Orlando

Cambridge Homes

Pulte Homes

David Weekly isn't building in my town (yet!), but they're known for having a very innovative product.

thanks for the replies people...

although its a little bit late though...about 2 months or so... :D

but its ok...i might need it once 2nd sem starts...

and yes...i noticed that as well...most aussie houses dont have basements or even attics...most of them...and as far as i know right now...the kitchens here arent totally enclosed by walls around with doors as the only passages in and out to the lounge or outside...
