Seems like some users of Cyburbia aren't the only ones grumbling about the state of affairs in the American Planning Association.

I just got a newsletter published by some planning wonks that collectively call themselves APA WatchDog. It's edition number 20, so they've been around for a while; this is the first time I've heard of them, though. They have a Web site at http://www.apawatchdog.org.

The newsletter offers endorsements for "a reformed, open and inclusionary APA/AICP." They are:

President Elect: Floyd Lapp
At-Large: Mitzi Barker
At-Large (focused): Sherrel Cockrell
Region 2: Carol Rhea
Region 3: Carol Stricklin
Region 4: Kristin Hopkins
AICP President-Elect: Sue Schwartz
AICP Region 2: Both candidates excellent
AICP Region 3: Chandra Foreman
AICP Region 4: Michael Wozniak

Anyone else ever hear of APA WatchDog?

I voted for Sue Schwartz, she is a long time friend and former co-worker. Much more like us than "them" (APA)

Intresting bunch of folks and site...hummmmm new place to blow time.
