Job Qualifications:
You’ll need a bachelor degree in urban and regional planning, but a degree in geography, architecture or engineering may work, too. Some employers are looking for master’s degree, and most places require a membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners. Some companies keep an eye out for applicants with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED certification, which is administered by the Canada Green Building Council.

Nice to see our profession made the list but I've gotta say -- with the median salary listed as $86,320 (and considering how long I've been in the field), I am either in the wrong job or the wrong country, I'm afraid. :-|

Well that salary is in CAD, not USD. But, it is nice to be in a (socialist?) country that obviously values organized development. Just a quick trip to CAN's Calgary and the adjacent US's communities will illuminate the difference in thought between our countries.
