First it was the Segway, now a mountain bike. Bush can't seem to keep upright on two wheeled vehicles.

Saturday Bush fell while mountain biking on his ranch. "He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, nose, right hand and both knees," White House spokesman Trent Duffy said. Duffy said he didn't know exactly how the accident happened.

Can't wait to see him on TV tonight, I wonder if we will be able to tell or if he will have tons of makeup on to cover it up.

Bush goes down

Again, my theory is that he is purposely staging these events in order to disuade the public from choosing bikes and segways over oil guzzling SUV's. ;-) Expect him to get into a fender bender while test driving a hybrid soon.

I bet he was racing down some awesome single-track hill, and loss control trying to run over an endangered woodland creature and did an endo.

or

Dad had just removed the training wheels and he fell over in the driveway.

On www.bikeforums.net when Kerry crashed it was 'what a wonderful guy; because he enjoys bicycling. That he crashed is further proof of his commitment to the sport and Gia. The drone of liberal ideology and praise for the man that has a fleet of gas guzzlers and a private air force was unbearable. You'd have thought Jerry Garcia himself was peddling a hemp recumbent to woodstock the way the the story was held as example of a good man with pure thoughts who was going to save the nation from the Abu Haliburton Bush cabal.

With W's crash the tone, it is somewhat different, no? :)

I hate to do it, but I agree with Guap. How is this any different then when Kerry fell off his bike?

It's the liberal media bias, man. What else would it be, man? ;-) :-D

_________

Seriously, though, it's a stupid thing to waste air-time on anyway, whether it involves the Great Leader or the Great Leader-wanna-be.

I too agree with eG, Bush got the negative spin but it is because he is such a klutz and he doesn't have a real good record. He can't speak well, he chokes on pretzels, fell off a Segway and what else.....

Just wait, I sure that when Kerry BECOMES president he too will get negatvie press, it happens to all presidents.

There should be no difference in reports. Also we have all fallen from bikes! With Kerry, he was not even riding aggressively. W is the man!

This like this make me happy I voted for W, and happy that I plan to again.

HMMMMM according to the Weather Channel website there has been no measureable rain in the previous 7 days in Crawford Tx.

Plus, doesn't it pack the soil down when it rains, and when it is dry it gets dusty and loose. Maybe Texas soil is different than Michigan soil. :-\

Past 7 day precipitation in Crawford Tx.

OK - You caught us! The great Republican lie-about-the-weather-whenever the prex-f's-up conspiracy is officially busted. W really fell down eating pork rinds while watching midget porn and signing Treasury checks to his oil industry buddies in Texas. Jesus K. Tap Dancing Christ let's all get a life, OK? How unlike some political spinmeisters to BS the press. I'm Shocked. Shocked I tell you. The guy fell off of his bike - which anyone who has ever ridden a bike has also done at least once. (I know you all have a friend that is a Green Party member that has never fallen from his bike made of straw and goat hair). This incident is not proof that Michael Moore is smart nor proof that Iraqi WMD's never existed. It is a 50 year old man that crashed his MTB. :-0

I have to agree with you, EG. I actually admire the Prez for riding the bike and wiping out, just like I would. ;)

Dubya deserves a pass on this.

I'm proud of the Prez for riding. The first time I've been proud of him since he took office.

Hmmmmm, now that you mention it... they did say he was wearing his helmet, there where no head injuries, but his chin did get hurt... it is a good thing he had a lid on.

I also admire how he did not give up the bike ride. He wiped the blood from his face, got back on, and kept riding. Kerry would have been air lifted to the closest hospital.

As for the rain thing... who cares! It could have been a low area with a high water table, it could have been a turtle on the path, it could have been an alien trap. If people are going to worry about that... they need to get a freakin life.

Not just a silly thing to say, but disrespectful of someone that was awarded three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

Dude! I love you too (really - even keeping your crazy gun views in mind). Suprisingly I'm working back in Kansas now. My former job went the way of the first Bush presidency. Its a long story which I'll tell you over a beer at the next KS-APA (if they ever meet again).

Burn a bowl on your Segway for the Gipper Dude.

The man was saying in American Republican Code: "W ain't no Nancy Boy."

But my guess is that some Nancy Boy's might be fabulous Mountain Bikers. Thus, the conundrum.

That might be, and this is saying something, the most partisan shot I've ever seen on Cyburbia. Come on, michael....put politics aside and think before you take shots at someone.

What about my work in the field of Clinton bashing? I did some damn fine partisan verbal truck bombing. Please don't discount the work of others so easily. ;)

Michael,
Kerry may be a narcissistic opportunist uber-liberal pompous prick with a convenient memory about his war years. He may have a bad attitude and great hair skills, but his diction is good therefore he is smart. Get it? By assuming that one's verbal skills are linked to intelligence you can de*****te those with speech problems if they are on the other side of the fence politically.

Now, speech therapists will tell you there is no link between intelligence and speech disorders, but they have to be in on the Haliburton plot right? We all know that people like Marti Matlin and Helen Keller are dumb asses because they can't speak well. Reagan's cuts of some social programs caused their deafness somehow. The one exception to the Can't Speak = Dumb rule is if these people are Democrats. Then they are assumed to be intelligent. Because only smart people understand that taking money from a wealth producer and giving it without strings to a slacker is a winning national strategy. All democrats, that are in fact [pc]differrenetially-abled[/pc], are valued members of society - despite what the Reagan Administration had done to them.

As to Kerry being a tough guy, I’m sure he is no wimp. He’s from Massachusetts.

Now, that my friends was a partisan shot! ;)
