I didn't realize Fall was such a busy conference season for the transportation planning industry. Did anyone attend either of these (or any others) recently? Thought it would be fun to discuss and reflect =)

  • NACTO Designing Cities (Seattle, WA) - Sept 26-29
  • Rail~Volution (San Francisco, CA): Early October
  • Shared Mobility Summit (Chicago, IL): Now
  • State APA conferences (various): ongoing, usually Fall as well

I only attended NACTO, and as a first time attendee, I had to say that it was quite worth it and I learned a TON, despite the panels being dominated by Seattle, SF and NYCDOT (with Denver and Oakland, CA coming in second). The weather was also perfect to go on some bike rides to check out the city's bike infrastructure.

all my conferences are passed. I just hit up national APA this year and now I'm broke for anything else. So I'll just be grabbing as many CFM credits online as I can.

I attended my state APA conference last month, and we have a regional transportation (public transit) agencies conference in November that I plan to attend. My budget won't allow me to make many out of state trips for conferences, unfortunately.
