Welcome to Cyburbia!

I'm moving this to the Make No Small Plans subforum, because it deals with a topic that's much broader than just local land use regulation.

In the United States, there's a nationwide natural gas grid, much like an electrical grid. There's no federally mandated natural gas territories, from what I understand.

Here's a few Web sites with more information.

The public service commissions of the individual states have a role in regulating utilities, their service areas, and rates.

Use of natural gas is very controversial where I live, because of hydrofracking, and its environmental and social impacts.
