By an odd coincidence involving prodigious amounts of a tainted batch of Rumpy's Revenge, a long-lost Zoning Code of the City of Houston, and a decision by the U.S Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Cyburbia members will replace the Electoral College in the 2004 Presidential Election. So here it is - the poll. Who will be the second-most powerful man (or womyn) on earth, behind out Great Leader?

I voted for eG because i want to see what the popular press (and FBI/CIA) will make of some of his Cyburbia posts well they troll for his dark, seedy past.

I guess they also made the election non-partisan?
This is just a poll to guage public interest in all of the candidates. It will be narrowed down to the four major parties (democrat, republican, green, laefest) in time for the election.

Hey you need to put a Rumpy Tuna option in there because he decides to run in order to clear up these allegations of tainted Rumpy's Rampage. Plus his health care reform bill includes free shots of Rumpy's Rampage for the holiday season. As I said before, "For the People, By the People, Vote Rumpy Tuna 2004!!!":b:

Me so bad/sorry to suggest a revival of the Cyburbian death match as a run off between any of the above?

MODs is this appropriate?

No Mary Cary? I'll vote for El Guapo unless some famous movie star runs. I love movie stars and I have confidence that they can run our government. :)

You only get to vote for our queen if you live in this riding. ;)

If anyone wants, I'll do a vote swap, if your poles close after mine. ;)

How come Pee Wee Herman AKA Paul Reubans isn't an option? After all he's fighting for and protecting our rights to lacrosse where ever we please.

Sigh. It looks as if the left has once again split its vote, leaving the election to the conservatives. At least it isn't George Bush who will win. Who voted for Carol Mosley Braun? Talk about your corrupt Chicago politicians! It looks like Nader will get enough votes for matching funds this time.

I must warn you all-I have no answers. My only hope is THAT THE EVIL CORRUPT CAPITALIST SYSTEM WILL GET SO BAD THAT IT WILL LEAD TO A GLORIOUS FINAL REVOLUTION.

And, we will know what to do with those who did not vote "properly." Viva Che! Viva Hugo Chavez! Viva Fidel!

I don't think Hugo Chavez comes from the Venezuelan oligarchy. He is too dark-skinned. I thought I read that he worked his way up from the ranks.

?????? Skel-you are our South American expert-even if you live 3,000 miles away, South America is all just one blob on a map to us ignorant Americans :)

Latin America

Hey! It's your back yard! (Well that's what you thought in the 60's-70's)

Hugo Chavez? Considering the few facts I know about Venezuela... He ain't no poor guy that rose to the top... middle-high class at least. And I concur with TIO this time... bunch of Sissy rich boys that just wanna be cool being revolutionaries, although the problems with Fidel, Hugo Chavez and Che Guevara is that it got stuck in them.... Their adolecent revolutionary time got stuck...

Revolution is so passe right now...

Barring a potential dream team of Jenna Jameson and Mr. T, I’m hoping for a Howard Dean/Wes Clark ticket. Although, I would seriously consider voting for el Guapo, a true conservative I could support, not like those wishy-washy corporate welfare neo-cons currently running the show.

Linden LaRouche is one of our choices? I was under the impression that all the LaRouche Democrats were killed by Portnoy in the
The Great Toad Frog Massacre of 1988.

Ok, I admit I didn't know wether Hugo was country club or not, but he sure has been helping his army chronies with oil revenues since his legal election. Plus the whole coup d'etat -that's an insider biz in Latin America, imho.

Well, I was too lazy to keep looking, but what I did google was that Hugo chavez was probably at least middle class in that he has a University education. Still, you are talking about brown versus white.

While I tend to the left on some issues, I just simply don't understand the revolutionary ideal. What does "give us jobs" mean? Jobs are not something that miraculously "appear" at the behest of some father figure in a fancy uniform. No matter what the uneducated rioters in places like Bolivia say.

I would like to throw my oh so SPIKEY hat into the ring in an attempt to gain the Presidency of this great nation. I promise to bring everyone together, to bring the various peoples of this great nation into one big tent, poised for action and ready to show thier ANGER!

Yes my fellow citizens, I promise to lead in such a way that all Americans will do thier duty. I promise to infuriate EVERY ethnic group, race, special interest group, lobbying organisation, grass roots movement, corporation, and kindly grandparent in the entire NATION! I PROMISE not to forget anyone, and I will truly show my benign gift of leadership to any group that fails to be offended.

I will leave no person uneffected by the changes I will bring! Everyone will get what they want with a twist. In the end you will all be unifed. If for no other reason than HATE! When I have finally unified the NATION, we will begin on the rest of the world.

At least, life will be interesting for all, if not happy. See you at the Polls next November. Remember, a vote for uncertainty is a vote for an interesting political life.

Amen. As far as left politicos, I'd say President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Brazil) is the most hopeful and balanced lefty to be elected in South America. Probably of all time, but I'm too ignorant to really know. It's kind of interesting to watch Brazil current events with this Lula da Silva.

TIO... you're forgetting our "lefty" President... He's a socialist... You could easily think he's more centered... but actually when we won our democracy back the socialist party has "renovated" (moved towards the center), so I guess you just wouldn't actually put him in the socialist bag, at least not with Lenin and other socialists... the only retrogrades that still follow said doctrine here is the Communist Party, AKA the eternal oposition... they even call themselves oposition of our current president... oh and these communists are still stuck in 1973, so you can be asured that they won't be winning many elections anytime soon. On the last presidential election their candidate won like 5% of the total... comparing with the ~45% of our actual president and the other ~40% of the right wing candidate, the remaining 10% goes to a little center party candidate and the green party candidate.

Oops, I knew that. I tend to think the leftist trends in South America are becoming less revolutionary and more pragmatic -it's a social-political evoloution, if you will. I would probably put him in the "socialist bag", but wouldn't identify him with that one man hero communist (insert your favorite communist thinker)revolutionary hype partyism. Even a right winger like Colombian President Alvaro Uribe has some socialist tendencies but comes off kind of moderate to me. For jerk offs like farc he's a capitalist pig -I'm sure farc has "commie" friends in Chile, do you know? I know they're here in the US.

Oh, yes Comandante Hugo Chavez is attempting to turn off Globovisions transmission and he's training a group of thugs to be his "urban militia" -what an A-HOLE!
